The McKern Racing team along with PAC Performance announce that they will be competiting at the 2009 'V' 4 & Rotary Nationals and South Island Champs. Photos as always by Just Dave Photography. “Bring on NZ”…that is the catch cry from the McKern Racing Team following the announcement of the team returning to the land of the long white cloud for the ‘V’ 4 & Rotary Nationals 2009. In a move that is set to sweep the nation by storm, the McKern Racing Team will be returning with the 2008 Street 289 Jamboree champion Grump2 RX2 and will be accompanying the most consistently quickest rotary on the planet, the PAC Performance MX6. Both cars are special guests of 4 & Rotary Promotions and will compete at the two headlining Sports Compact events for New Zealand being the ‘V’ 4 & Rotary Nationals held at Meremere in the North Island and at the South Island Champs held at Christchurch in the South Island. Many would remember the two teams previous trips to the land of the Kiwi bird. PAC Performance made the 1999 Nationals an event to remember with record numbers in attendance and the 2006 Nationals where Grump2 made history becoming the quickest 13B in the land to have run. Both teams are eager to impress and keen to put on a show. “It has been a long time in organizing, but now it is all signed and sealed, it is up to us to deliver and that is what we plan to do” McKern Racing Crew Chief Arron Skillen remarks. Having recently run a new PB on 8.000 and wrapping up the 2007 Street 289 Championship, 2nd in the 2008 Street 289 Championship, back to back Street 289 ET and MPH National Records and the 2008 Street 289 Jamboree winner’s trophy, the McKern Racing team will be shooting for more glory come January. Come along and support the McKern and PAC Performance teams as they go one on one with NZ’s best at the ‘V’ 4 & Rotary Nationals and South Island Champs.
