Grump2 made its return to the track on Saturday the 13 May 2006 at a Bracket Attack meeting held at Willowbank Raceway.

Damien has not had much time in the car since New Zealand so he was keen, but reserved to hop back in the green machines seat.  Grump's first run was a very easy 9.70@140 with Damien leaving with low revs and basically not 'smashing' it off the line.  The car did a 1.8 60foot with Damien sliding the clutch and did not go over 70% throttle the entire run.  The car moved to the left after half track where Damien got off it, straightened and ran it through for the time.

His next pass was a slightly quicker 9.63@149 mph.  Again, Damien took it easy off the line and the car steered hard left again.  Had he not got off it, Willowbank would be one 330' marker short!  But even when back into it, Grump didn't see 100% throttle until past the 1000' mark and showed impressive stick by gaining 35mph over the top half of the track on only 28psi of boost.
