GRUMP2’s return to form continued at the McKern and Associates Drag Wars held in Sydney on the 17th December 2005.

Grump started an incredible streak of PB’s at a Wednesday night Test and Tune with a 9.06@ 152mph on the  7th of December.  Then off the trailer at his own meet, Grump ran his first eight with an 8.99@154mph.  It continued with an 8.95 @156mph, then 8.92@153 and finally 8.87@158mph, becoming the 2nd fastest untubbed 13B in the country and placing him in the top ten of the quickest at eighth.

Appropriately Grump ran the last four PB’s at his own meet which is now the last major meet in Australia with a 13B engine and all of the crew are hoping for similar performances in New Zealand.  A trip to New Zealand in January will see the end of an era with the last time that Grump will run a 13B before stepping up to a 20B on return to Australia.
